as a young adult she was trapped by an efreet in humanoid form by a magical golden band around her neck and a magical stone in her stomach. cannot take her natural form and pass the stone or she'll choke or decapitate herself, and cannot take a smaller form to get out of the collar or her stomach will burst.
also blocks her access to arcane magic other than the natural magic of a dragon (+ divine spells, but cannot prepare any other than the 'always prepared')
wears her hoard in jewelry, fine clothes and magical mithril armor + dual-bladed scimitar, spent the rest on trying to find a way to escape her problem. does have a pouch of some random gems in different sizes and types, as well as a bunch of platinum coins
spent over a century among humanoids and have gained a better respect and fondness for them than most brass dragons. prefers to listen to stories than converse as a result, and is generally more personable
minor breath weapon (fire, sleep), alter self/alternate shape, fire immunity, darkvision/low-light vision, vulnerable to cold
loves rubies and gold above all. dips her fingers in gold powder and seals it with her breath as a decoration.
as a brass dragon she doesn't really need to eat much and can literally survive on morning dew, which is good since her stomach is almost filled with the stone. Likes to drink, though
can change her form to other humanoids of the same size, change her sex, change parts of herself - but prefers a specific female elf form and rarely strays from it.
